Scope Of Surgeries
Our surgeons are trained in general and abdominal transplant surgery. Their abilities allow for the care of common general surgical issues such as hernias and gallbladder disease as well as more advanced surgical issues involving the liver, pancreas, and bile ducts – often referred to collectively as hepatobiliary surgery.
Common surgical issues involving these organs include metastatic cancer to the liver, primary liver cancer, pancreas tumors, as well as bile duct injuries, strictures, or masses. In addition, each of our surgeons have completed additional specialized training in liver, pancreas, and kidney transplant. As a group they make up the surgical transplant team at Intermountain Healthcare in Murray, UT.
Despite their deep commitment to the care of transplant patients our surgeons also enjoy caring for all types of patients and their surgical needs. We welcome every opportunity to potentially assist an individual and their family through this process.
